Featured Speaker - Simon Weston OBE, Falklands War Hero
Thursday 16th November at 17:45 - 18:45
Simon Weston is one the UK’s great motivational speakers. In June 1982 only a handful of people would have recognised the Simon Weston who headed out for the Falklands conflict, today he is renowned throughout the world not for his disfigurement from 46% burns received during the bombing of the warship ‘Sir Galahad’ but for his optimism, tenacity and inspired courage. His message is one of single-minded determination, to not accept what is, but to turn that to your advantage. Through his presentation Simon will convey how personal strength and purpose can triumph over adversity.
Friday 17th November at 12:40 - 15:10
OTN focussed on ease of use, and some of the latest technology to come out from development. Participants got all the install tips, enterprise Linux and Oracle software needed for a complete Oracle on Linux stack. Featuring demos and the opportunity to ask your questions and pick up the software to try out later.
* We will have both the XE and enterprise database versions available
* Oracle SQL Developer on Linux (formerly known as Project Raptor)
* Development will showcase a 20 minute install of the new Fusion Middleware on Linux
