Presentation abstract: This RAC (Real Application Cluster) roundtable session is an open discussion about recent challenges in running RAC. If you are using or planning on using RAC, you don't want to miss this roundtable session. Discussions should be of interest to database administrators, architects, and developers. Attendees are advised to come with question pertaining to the subject matter for this is a free form discussion. Beginners to advanced attendees are welcome!

Speaker biography: Murali Vallath has over 18 years of IT experience including over 14 years using Oracle products, designing and developing databases. He provides independent Oracle consulting services focusing on designing and performance tuning of Oracle databases. Vallath has successfully completed over 75 successful small, medium and terabyte sized RAC implementations (Oracle 9i & Oracle 10g) for reputed corporate firms. Vallath is an Oracle Certified Database Administrator has worked on a variety of database platforms for small to very large implementations, designing databases for high volume, machine critical, real time OLTP systems. His expertise is with Oracle Real Application Clusters and Vallath released his second book titled Oracle 10g RAC, Grid, Services & Clustering in March 2006. Vallath is a regular speaker at industry conferences and user groups, including the Oracle Open World, UKOUG and IOUG on RAC and Oracle RDBMS performance tuning topics.
