| Presentation abstract: | In this presentation, we will explain and demonstrate in a live Oracle DBMS environment how different attack vectors can be used to own the database, including exploits that are freely available on the Web and require no skill. Ways of protecting the database against each type of attack will be explained, including secure coding practices, database hardening methods and deep-scanning database activity monitoring tools. |

Before co-founding Sentrigo, Slavik was VP R&D and Chief Architect at DB@net, a leading IT architecture consultancy, and led projects for clients such as Orange, Comverse, Sony and Oracle. Previously, Slavik held positions in several IT consulting companies, and served as a software team leader in an IDF technology unit.
