Presentation abstract: Whilst many organisations believe they cannot succeed without an Enterprise Architecture strategy, very few companies have developed their IT strategies and IT budgets based simply on an Enterprise Architecture. How often is an Enterprise Architecture developed and then become shelfware. Typically, IT leaders and CxO's need to see the benefit of an Enterprise Architecture strategy before they buy in and yet Enterprise Architects often lack the expertise to sell their architecture vision to their business partners. In this roundtable, we will explore the impact of an Enterprise Architecture on the implementation of an IT Strategy – what worked well and what didn’t. How do Enterprise Architects improve their communication of the business value of IT? Who can help them in this process?
